![]() Sonic should never be doing that, especially since the heroes steal from Robotnik all the time, and how else did they get their van or hoverboard?Īnd Sonia displays her personality the most of all, because she’s a prissy rich girl. Manic’s a kleptomaniac, though it makes Sonic and not Sonia for some reason nag at him self-righteously for stealing when sometimes he’s justified to do so in their situation, where they can’t get jobs to work for their money. There’s tons of times where there’s lines that only exist to remind you that they have a specific personality trait, like Sonic says he hates water. Compared to SatAM, it’s a lot more focused on the personalities of the characters. There’s so many charming character interactions, usually between the three siblings, that really stunned me because the show has a bad reputation and yet it has charming moments like that. It’s got some unique things to offer and some incredible ideas. It sucks that the singing is such a prominent part of the show that overshadows everything about it, because there is so much more to this show than that. It’s not like literally the whole show is them singing, it’s not a LITERAL musical. Considering how extremely consistently good the episodes are, it really sickens me to think that people DISMISS THE ENTIRE SHOW AS A JOKE, just because of a FEW minutes, in 40 21 minute episodes. Who watches shows live in this day and age? It’s just a few minutes, you could get up and make a sandwich or have the volume on mute and the closed captions on. While the songs are awful, though only in the singing department because the music overall is fantastic, the songs are something you can skip ahead to avoid, so it’s not a legitimate reason to hate the show. And the writing seemed to go into a dark age after they met Knuckles. It’s surprising how gutless a show with such a unique concept for Sonic can really be, but they’ll constantly push the Reset Button instead of letting anything happen to the bad guys, or letting anyone join the main heroes’ group, regardless of logic. Only after that point did I start to hate the show for the ridiculous extent to which it adheres to Status Quo is god. Okay, so what do I think of Sonic Underground? Until after Knuckles showed up, it was very consistently well-written.
